Our student, Abdullah Hodgson (England) goes for Hajj
Brother Abdullah Hodgson, a revert student from Dorset in the United Kingdom, fulfilled one of his fundamental obligations as a Muslim, and also realized a fervent dream, when he was blessed with the opportunity of undertaking the difficult journey-the Hajj.
Buoyed by indescribable elation and excitement, Abdullah departed for the Holy Lands, assisted by airport staff and fellow Hujjaaj, from Pietermaritzburg on the 01 December 2008, and returned honorably titled Haji Abdullah on the 29 of the same month. He performed the Hajj rituals with a group of friends from the UK and came back indelibly boosted both physically and spiritually.
The vital preparation for his journey began weeks before his departure. Including lessons on the procedures and practices essential for the Hajj, general orientation and preparing appropriate luggage, these anticipation filled weeks ensured a safe and hassle free journey to and from the Holy lands.
May Allah accept his Hajj and the Hajj of all Hujjaaj and grant us the opportunity to visit the Holy Lands repeatedly.
